Online Summer School Information - Summer School Fact Sheet (pdf)

Students can apply for summer school courses by filling out this application form. In order to participate in online courses during the summer session all students must become active in their courses prior to June 1st.  Daily work on courses will be required to ensure they are completed prior to July 29th.

Not all students are suitable candidates for taking courses online. The self-directed, capable and motivated student who is comfortable using computers is most likely to be successful in the online environment.

Dates: May 15 to July 29, 20011
Times: Daily as required by the teacher and course completion demands. Online courses can be accessed from vLearn.ca by students 24/7 for the duration of the course.
Exams: Required attendance for exam writing (SS 11 only*) August 12.

Exam Location: Required attendance for e-exam writing for *Social Studies 11 will be held on Wednesday August 17, 2011 from 9:00am - 11:00am. at W.L. Seaton Secondary 2701-41st Avenue, Vernon BC. Students must arrive 15 mins early and bring identification.
Cost: All online courses are offered free to school aged students. Students registered in Social Studies 10 and Social Studies 11 students need to pay an $80 resource deposit at the time of registration confirmation while the Family Studies students need to pay a $60 resource deposit. Cash or cheque only.  Students can pick up the resources at The Open Door Education Centre, 2901-29th Street, Vernon BC.  All resource deposits will be refunded when the resources have been returned.
Marks: School marks will be available from the teacher upon course completion.  Marks will also be forwarded to the home school.
